Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across Virginia and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Deliver freight on time while optimizing fuel efficiency and route planning
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain professional appearance and customer service standards
- Utilize electronic logging systems (ELD) for compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Virginia highway systems and regional regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
