Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) within the San Francisco metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of cargo to designated customer locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Manage the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is mandatory.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) must be on file.
- Clean driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local San Francisco traffic patterns and routes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor vehicle maintenance.
