Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading processes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and support staff regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required (Class B considered for local).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and logbook requirements.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
