Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver cargo within agreed-upon timeframes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and ensure all hours-of-service (HOS) regulations are met.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and FMCSA regulations to maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status, delays, and any issues encountered on the road.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card) valid for at least 90 days.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and DOT physical.
- Strong understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations, safety protocols, and hazardous material handling (if applicable).
- Ability to work flexible hours and handle the physical demands of the job (lifting, climbing, sitting for long periods).
