Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on all roadways.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution according to safety regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections (DVIR) and maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Navigate delivery routes in Sacramento and throughout Northern California.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and schedules.
- Maintain a clean, organized cab and cargo area to represent our professional brand.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, Reckless Driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.
- 1+ years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
