Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to hours of service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT drug screen clearance.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and DOT physical exam.
- Strong understanding of GPS navigation and route planning software.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
