Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo accurately to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD, DVIR) and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time, maintaining a professional image.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company policies regarding Hours of Service (HOS).
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (hazmat, tanker, or doubles/triples endorsements a plus).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing delivery schedules.
