Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and Hours of Service (HOS) documentation.
- Load and unload freight carefully, ensuring cargo is secure and protected from damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) with no restrictions.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and criminal background check.
- U.S. Citizenship or valid legal work authorization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with ELDs and digital freight documentation is a plus.
