Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and company policies
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment and verify shipment documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Document delivery exceptions and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to strict safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina roadways and regional geography
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
