Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or B trucks in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight restrictions and securing methods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risks and ensure passenger and cargo safety.
- Conduct regular communication with customers to confirm delivery details and handle inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- Achieved or eligible for a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
