Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations (FMCSA/DOT).
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD/DSO) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and route plans while minimizing fuel consumption and wear on the vehicle.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at delivery sites.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and accidents immediately to the dispatch team.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with applicable endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (hazmat experience is a plus).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT drug screen on file.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record review.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing in and out of the cab, and sitting for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and paperwork.
