Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport freight to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules and fuel consumption
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Complete required documentation (BOLs, delivery confirmations, incident reports)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and required endorsements (Hazmat/Tank preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional logistics networks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening (required)
