Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch and clients
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries across the tri-state area
- Represent Metro Transport with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic regulations and infrastructure
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility for overnight shifts and weekend work
