Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles over long distances and regional routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and ensure compliance with all safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with precision and document inventory accurately
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and delivery
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Minimize fuel consumption through efficient driving practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of HOS regulations and DOT compliance
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for on-road repairs
- Excellent time management and route optimization abilities
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
