Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and reefers) for regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Efficiently load/unload freight using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging records
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Minimize delivery delays through optimal route planning
- Represent the company professionally in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Memphis metro area and Southeastern routes
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overtime
- Basic smartphone proficiency for electronic logging
