Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight using proper equipment and protocols
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety policies
- Provide exceptional customer service through timely deliveries and professional communication
- Utilize GPS navigation and dispatch systems for efficient route planning
- Document delivery receipts and resolve any shipment discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Strong knowledge of Columbus metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in varying weather conditions
- Must pass comprehensive background check and MVR verification
