Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance needs.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (EOBR) and complete all necessary documentation accurately and on time.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery details.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Must meet DOT medical requirements and possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks is a plus.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
