Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to deliver freight to designated stops in the Dallas metro area and beyond.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and maintain Hours of Service (HOS) compliance.
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and tie-downs to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proof of current medical certification (DOT Medical Card) and a current DOT physical.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
