Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) correctly.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies to minimize accidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (if required for specific positions).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) on file.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read maps and GPS systems.
