Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than one preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement.
- Willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
