Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in the Boston metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and secure loads properly.
- Prepare and verify delivery documents, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area, adhering to company appearance standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients by adhering to scheduled delivery times and maintaining professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Familiarity with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and DOT regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
