Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport freight within San Jose and Northern California
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle cargo loading/unloading with proper securing techniques
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with California highway systems and urban navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time-management and communication skills
- Knowledge of hazmat protocols (H endorsement a plus)
- Must pass background check and MVR verification
