Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport goods across designated routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all safety protocols
- Assist with loading/unloading when required (non-hazardous materials)
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment familiarization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Tampa Bay area routes and highway systems
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends and occasional overnight trips
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
