Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across the Chicagoland area
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring on-time performance
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Operate in compliance with all FMCSA regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Chicago metro routes
- Excellent time management and customer service abilities
