Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe, professional, and efficient manner to deliver cargo on time.
- Maintain Compliance: Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in top condition and report any issues immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain all necessary logs, including Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery receipts.
- Cargo Handling: Safely load and unload goods, ensuring cargo security and proper handling procedures.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and warehouse personnel to ensure high satisfaction levels.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Current Commercial Driver's License (Class A or Class B) with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (local or over-the-road).
- Medical Certification: Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Eligibility: Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to navigate GPS systems.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as required.
