Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs in strict adherence to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, including tire pressure, fluid levels, and lights.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Residency within the Colorado Springs area or willingness to relocate.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver cargo of varying weights.
