Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Virginia and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery schedules and maintain on-time performance
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling during transport and loading/unloading
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Build positive relationships with clients through professional communication and service excellence
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle performance concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and basic navigation technology
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
