Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional and long-haul routes across Florida
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance requirements
- Optimize routes for efficiency while maintaining delivery schedules and customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members using telematics systems
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging system compliance
- Represent Sunshine Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Florida routes and regional geography preferred
- Strong understanding of HOS regulations and safety compliance
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting common vehicle issues
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
