Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload cargo while ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Current DOT Medical Card (or willing to obtain).
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks during loading/unloading.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of New York.
