Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques to ensure freight safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks to remain DOT compliant.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to strict delivery windows and ensure customer satisfaction with every stop.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) and negative pre-employment drug screen.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic English reading and writing proficiency for log compliance and safety communication.
