Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) to transport goods safely and on schedule
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan optimized routes using GPS navigation systems for timely deliveries
- Load/unload shipments with precision and proper safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse staff
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
- Complete delivery documentation and electronic logging requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service during all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and DOT regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings
