Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) to transport freight to designated delivery locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) while ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients during delivery stops.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state trucking regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
