Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated) within Austin metro and surrounding regions
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging devices
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure compliance with DOT safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic laws and company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Austin-area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for on-road repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
- High school diploma or equivalent required
