Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for long-haul routes across North Carolina and Georgia
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes and manage delivery timelines to ensure on-time performance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Handle secure cargo and maintain proper documentation (bills of lading, logs)
- Represent the company professionally with exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel overnight and work flexible schedules
- Georgia route experience preferred
