Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight across Ohio and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation software to meet delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper material handling techniques and equipment
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delays, route changes, or delivery issues
- Complete necessary paperwork (BOLs, delivery confirmations) with precision
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and irregular schedules
- Clean criminal background check and satisfactory MVR
