Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
- Maintain accurate electronic logging and delivery documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and meet delivery deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate vehicle maintenance
- Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and fleet management systems
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Northeast corridor routes
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
