Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across Ohio and neighboring states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes while managing delivery timelines and documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques using provided equipment
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Complete electronic logs and paperwork with meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Physical capability to climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and sit for extended periods
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
