Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul deliveries across Washington and neighboring states
- Perform pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques using straps, chains, and tarps
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging system (ELD)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Respond professionally to route adjustments and traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Knowledge of Washington state traffic laws and mountain driving techniques
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills using GPS and route planning tools
- Excellent time management and customer service abilities
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
