Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution according to safety standards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT), mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
- Keep the truck cabin and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Georgia.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- 21 years of age or older.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor duties.
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, and dedication to safety.
