Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) in urban and highway environments.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo using proper tie-down methods and weight distribution techniques.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status and delays.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, map reading, and GPS navigation.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as loading/unloading and bending/lifting.
