Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated addresses while adhering to strict time schedules and delivery protocols.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, ensuring all deliveries are handled with care and accuracy.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage to goods and injury to personnel.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork in compliance with company and federal regulations.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines to ensure a secure delivery process.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50-100 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to use handheld devices for navigation and logging.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a commercial vehicle.
