Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional freight transport
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time delivery
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of diverse cargo types
- Represent the company professionally with all clients and partners
- Utilize GPS navigation and telematics systems for route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Virginia/North Carolina highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Willingness to operate multi-stop routes with overnight stays
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred
