Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) to ensure 100% compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients at delivery and pickup locations, resolving any issues professionally.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Drug Screen certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work varied shifts and adhere to strict safety protocols at all times.
