Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) ensuring cargo safety.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate and compliant electronic logging device (ELD) records of duty status.
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (Commercial Driver's License) with the proper endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker preferred).
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
