Responsibilities
- Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, defensive, and courteous manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Load Handling: Secure cargo safely using straps and binders, ensuring it is within weight limits and properly distributed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records, mileage logs, and delivery receipts.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at pickup and delivery locations to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic routine maintenance checks and keep the truck clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Possess a current, valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Clean MVR: Must have a clean driving record with no DUIs or major traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Medical Card: Must possess a current DOT medical card.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use radio/communication devices effectively.
