Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (53' dry vans) for local/regional routes within North Carolina
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document all maintenance issues
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and real-time updates
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication logs
- Participate in weekly safety training sessions and equipment certifications
- Handle secure cargo transport with focus on damage prevention
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate in all weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management systems
- Knowledge of North Carolina roadways and delivery protocols
- Exceptional time management and customer service skills
- Must own DOT-compliant steel-toe boots
