Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) efficiently.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and trip paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service to brokers and shippers during loading and unloading.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (no restrictions).
- A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred (Class A experience required for some positions).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Basic English language skills for communication and map reading.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and days as required.
