Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner at all times.
- Load and unload freight using proper equipment and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and necessary paperwork (BOL, POD, IFTA).
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo up to 50 lbs occasionally.
