Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes in Minneapolis metro area
- Safely transport freight while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods as required
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and maintain on-time performance
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate vehicle maintenance
- Represent Metro Freight Solutions professionally with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and DOT regulations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside inspections
- Strong navigation skills with GPS/Google Maps proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
