Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure safety on the road and at loading docks.
- Interact professionally with customers, shippers, and receivers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) on file.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks at loading docks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
